Someting About Luo Before His Arrival!

(These 3 guys have been making big wave to collectors' hearts)

I received a message from Iplehouse that LUO were all set and under packing on last Monday (30th March 2009). Then, I got an auto-sent message with EMS airway bill no. on Friday that LUO with other accessories that I have ordered were shipped. So probably I would have my LUO by next Tuesday the latest. How exciting! They have the doll prepared much faster than I have expected!

There have been tremendous discussion on this series on Den of Angels (a BJD doll forum) in the past 3-4 months. It is hard for me to catch up with all of them. But lately, there are some discussions on what this and that character should be, and each of the new doll should have its unique character, not even with similarity...Bla! Bla! Bla! These discussions have aroused my interest in finding out the background of each character in this circus series.

Honestly, I hardly read the official stories set-forth by manufacturers. I prefer the characters than I create for my dolls! They do not have any default character to me. They would change when I change their outfits and wigs (if applicable); and also with my dreamy mind moving along, whenever it changes, they change accordingly. However, I found it amusing when I followed the official links and to find out the interesting background of this massive hunky character - LUO Strongman. Such as to know who he is and what have had happened to him in the past that lead to his current situation!! It is like knowing about the past of a newly made friend!

7.5 feet Long Glass Showecase & The Stories

Time flies, I have moved into this new apartment for over 2 years now. I really like my new home. Although it is smaller than where I used to live, the current living environment, the community, the quality of air etc. are much better than before. Since I designed the house layout and furniture myself, I have more control on what I like and what I need.

I remember I was so excited when I first moved in as I finally have a 7.5 feet long glass showcase with adjustable glass panels to “showcase” my collections. It is always fun to redress my dolls and pose them with various coordination. Isn’t it what fashion dolls created for? However, the only thing that bothers me is that sometimes the stands could not hold them properly. When one doll felt, it would be like a domino game effect or striking of bowling.

I usually group my dolls and create a scene with some unwritten storyboards in my mind. After a few weeks or months, I would put some of them down and reorganize. I found some archive pictures of one of such activities lately, but it was once I took them all down from the shelves for through dusting purpose. I treasure these pictures a lot because some of the dolls have already left this sweet apartment and immigrated to some other places in the world!

Besides, when I went through these pictures again, I found that my dolls were scattered here and there by random grouping. They looked as if they were talking or discussing with each other. I wonder what have had happened while they were all up in the shelves. Any interesting stories or cat fights happened? Any romantic affairs happened without my notice? When I am looking at these pictures again, it seems like they had some storeis that they wanted to tell me!
Have you ever had the similar feeling that your dolls are trying to tell you their stories...or is it only me?!!

10,100 Visitor Hit!! Please Help to Leave Me Positive Feedback!!

OMG! My blog was opened in the end of last November, within 4 month's time, the visitor counter has just hit 10,100 (31st March 2009)! I am so THRILLED!

My Appreication to You ALL:
I would like to thank you sincerely to those who love my log and those who have bookmarked it and visit it frequently. I have been receiving encouraging emails and feedback from doll forums and in the blog here as well. And I would also like to thank you to those artists who allowed me to feature them here. It is always my pleasure to share my joy and points of view on fashion doll to collectors and speculators alike.

East Meets West:
This blog is a track record on my doll collections as well as sharing without any discrimination. We always talk about culture shock when it comes to EAST MEETS WEST. It is also applicable when it comes to dolls appreciations. The interesting thing is to see how different we (Asian and Westerners) could be in terms of our appreciation on doll creations! I enjoy speaking out my like and dislike on fashion dolls with respect! I would continue to write as long as I am collecting fashion dolls!!

Happy Transactions! Please Help to Leave Me Postive Feedback:
My doll collection experiences have been great! I have been buying and selling to collectors all over the world. All the transactions have been great and trustworthy so far. (except scammed by Kedra Manning (click here for the details)– I am sure some of you have already known about it). Therefore, I would appreciate those who have traded with me could leave me positive feedback on the link below (Doll Community Feedback Board) for others reference. Should you want me to do it for you, please let me know. I would be happy to do so for you too!
